paper

Published by mrshannigan under Uncategorized Edit This

The kids just love drawing and coloring on computer paper. I used to get annoyed that they were ‘wasting” it when they wouldn’t color on the backsides. The fact is, that if the picture on the front is showing through, then the backside is ruined. And they’re not wasting it if they’re using it, only if they’re throwing it away without using it. And it’s no more wasted when they use it than it is when my husband prints his letter before proofreading it. Or when he- he’s really done this- prints 50 full-color copies of a document before he notices something is wrong. I don’t yell at him about it, why would I yell at them. I’ll just buy recycled paper, make homemade recycled paper for art projects, teach them how to use the graphic design programs on the computer and use their drawings as wrapping paper, or make notepads for phone messages, or whatever else. If we can use paper freely, so should they. It’s just paper.
